California's Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 or more commonly known as "Prop 65", requires all businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Proposition 65 requires that the state of California publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm at least once a year. This list includes approximately 900 chemicals.
