Although negative feedback is freely given, people rarely take the time to provide positive feedback when products work better than expected, so I wanted to share my experience with the Crossfire ES4 safety eyewear, part # 211125.

In the summer of 2019, I worked as a supervisor of a pipeline maintenance company. Part of my responsibility was vegetation control, which required the use of trimmers and tractors with brush cutters. I provided all crew members with the Crossfire 211125 eyewear as they comply with the ANSI Z87.1  standard for vision protection.  I also wore a pair myself, but to be perfectly honest, I wore them primarily because they are premium stylish sunglasses with a high definition brown mirror lens.

On the day of the safety incident, I sat in my truck with my window down, wearing my Crossfire eyewear to block the sun. One of my tractors with a brush cutter emerged from the pipeline and traveled along the other side of the highway across from my truck location. The tractor forcibly hit a fallen tree-top lying on the side of the road. Unfortunately, the impact of the tractor turned a large piece of debris into a projectile, shooting it across the highway and through my open truck window.

The debris struck me in the face. The force of the impact was so great that it broke the bone behind my eyebrow, gave me a concussion, and caused a laceration that required 20+ stitches to close. The only thing that saved my eyesight and prevented further damage were my Crossfire glasses. The doctors were amazed that there wasn’t more substantial damage to my face and even more amazed that the Crossfire glasses survived the accident with barely a scratch. Several months later, I am still wearing the same pair everyday although they are no longer scratch free!

So Radians, I want to take this moment to thank you for making a quality product. I can assure you that Crossfire are the only safety glasses I trust to protect my employees and me. For those of you who work around hazards that can harm your eyes, please learn from my experience and wear your safety glasses. Even being on the sidelines across from where the actual work was being done, I was in the pathway to danger. Thank goodness I was wearing my Crossfire safety glasses.
