What’s the difference between Lumens and Candlepower?

Both lumens and candlepower are used to measure light intensity. Put simply, lumens is a unit describing the TOTAL output of light from a light source. It has nothing to do with the reflector/lens assembly of the device. On the other hand, candlepower is a measurement of the brightest spot in the output beam.
